My latest body of work, The Underground, explores origin, movement, identity and culture through a visual language shaped by hip hop, memory and the energy of the underground.
The series traces a journey through time, where coded language, movement and symbolism become markers of where we come from and what shapes us. Blue figures move through each work alongside dates, typography and organic forms, connecting culture with transformation.
My broader practice continues to explore identity, mortality and transformation through symbolism and colour. I draw inspiration from those who turned struggle into strength, from Basquiat’s raw energy and Picasso’s reinvention to the rhythm, grace and discipline of Kobe, Prince and Sade.
The Underground is about origin.
The seeds planted before transformation.
The place where identity begins.
