Lady in Graf Revisited returns to an original charcoal life study made in 1991,
reinterpreting the figure more than two decades later through colour,
abstraction and street-derived mark-making.

The original drawing remains visible beneath the later work’s visual language:
an intimate study of the body transformed through texture, abrasion and movement.

The work forms part of an ongoing dialogue within Marie’s practice between early figurative
drawing and the more expressive language that followed.
