I’m grateful to receive an Honorable Mention from the Circle Foundation for the Arts in their 11th International Artist of the Month contest. Art has been part of me since my younger years — I’d draw on anything I could find. Life choices led me into the advertising and design world, which was a fun and creative chapter. But in 2015, I reconnected with fine art, and it felt like coming home again. Since then, my style has continued to evolve — influenced by artists of the past (maybe even borrowed a little from them), yet always with the aim of discovering my own language on canvas. I feel like I’ve found it now — and I’m excited for what’s ahead. For this recognition, I submitted five of my works: Mystical Man Breath The Alchemist Creationism The Manifest of the Mind The Ascension Each piece explores transformation, energy, and the connection between the physical and spiritual self — a reflection of my ongoing journey through colour, form, and intuition. 🙏🏽

We chose their artwork The Alchemist No.1 for this program from among thousands of artworks entered annually for consideration. Selection for this competitive, merit-based initiative speaks to Christopher Marie’s technical ability as a visual artist, and to the sophistication of their artistic practice, which appears distinctive and impressive.
